A native Long Islander, I feel equally at home listening to the crashing waves ocean and sound, navigating the subways of Manhattan, or camping in the expanses of upstate New York. While technology is a huge part of my life, but personally and professionally, it’s always nice to disconnect and get back in touch with nature and the world.

A diverse and winding path brought me to where I am today. My first job was working with the Boy Scouts of America, something I did for years while I worked hard to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout. My next chapter saw me at Pace University in New York City, where I graduated with a B.S. in Information Technology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Living in such a large and diverse place made me gain an appreciation for the world and all it has to offer.

Graduation brought me back home where I worked for Stony Brook University Medical Center as a Systems Administrator for several years. While I have no real clinical knowledge, it felt great to be assisting and supporting those who were out making a difference and caring for the community. My knowledge and expertise continued to grow as I learned the the ins and outs of ‘the cloud’, networking, and renovated the primary data center. Along the way I earned by M.B.A. in Information Systems Management and my Advanced Certificate in Healthcare Management, before I set my sights on a new challenge.

In 2018 I began my path as a project manager with EDI, Ltd. and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. Working across the country for architects and healthcare systems, I am bringing a human touch to the patient, guest, and clinician experience. Working with some of the top-ranked hospitals in the country I am able to see what truly works and bring the best practices along with me to new projects. Removing the constraint of the same four office walls everyday allows me to see for myself what works, and I truly feel now that I have found my niche. My knowledge helps to make healthcare a better experience for all those involved, and has helped provide me with the backing to earn my PMP certification.

From here I can only further improve upon my self and those around me. Hopefully through this site you can learn something too, whether it’s for your personal or professional self. This is a place for me to get my thoughts out on project management, technology on the horizon, and just some general info that comes to mind. It’s not all about me though. If you like what you see, but would like to see more, certainly let me know and I’ll do some entries on what you’d love to see.
